Our first Net Zero home!
After looking at multiple designs that didn’t quite fit this client’s budget, he came to us with a proposal to use the Quonset Hut design to not only save money but also be at or near net zero carbon footprint and, we accepted the challenge! This 2-bedroom, 2.5 bath with additional yoga room comes with 25’ ceilings.
We are in the final stages of permitting the drawings with the County of Yavapai now…
The lot lends itself to this unique design with windows only on the front and back.
Energy efficient was a MUST!
Starting with the highly energy efficient Quonset Hut, we then added a Hydronic system instead of a traditional forced air heating and cooling system. Once the solar panels are added, this house will be able to be completely off grid, even in the extreme temperatures of Sedona, AZ
Each space has its own feel with ceilings ranging from 8’ to 25’ high
